What the review does
It trims surrounding spaces, removes a leading @, extracts a handle from a single Instagram profile link, and compares handles in lowercase. Duplicate handles appear once. Other characters are not silently removed to create a different name.
Format errors remain in your results. A list above 25 unique entries is rejected in full so nothing disappears silently. Format-valid rows remain “Not checked” until you explicitly query public profiles.
Reading the exported file
The CSV includes username, status, checkedAt, source, and reason. checkedAt is populated only when the supplier provides a usable query timestamp. Unknown, failed, and rate-limited results stay unknown.
